The pain around the pain

Not so much pain as discomfort. Seems all the muscles I'm using to keep the pressure off the injury are starting to ache. Glenna drove me to work and hung out with me there for a few hours. Got to go to each of the kids' schools today. I'll be going to work tomorrow just to stay in the routine.

The next anticipated difficulty will be getting out of bed, Monday. Without the need to have Caleb dressed, fed and ready for the bus by 6:25am, I'll have to tap into that will-power stuff.

Going with the flow

Seems an alignment has occurred. I originally started this blog, not to blog, but to follow a fellow cyclers blog - http://tourdedavid.blogspot.com - who started his blog to journal his ride from North Texas to Northern California.

So on my very next ride, I break my clavicle (collarbone). Now I've decided to journal my ride through recovery to the DORBA Fall Series and possibly beyond.

So here I am 28 hours after the fact wearing a sling and an ice pack. I Weighed in @ roughly 255lbs last december. I rode a couple times early in the year, but the majority of my trail miles has been in April (81) and May (95). Last night at the Dr's office, 241lbs. Those are the numbers I'll be watching. Words/minute typing one handed are not near as "impressive".
